Rumors all day have circulated about the Big 12 making a last ditch effort to save the conference. Apparently the Big 12’s money, with only ten teams, talks more than the Pac 10’s because Texas has declined an offer to join the Pac 10.

The Forth Worth-Star Telegram is reporting that the Mountain West is after Kansas, Missouri, and Kansas State. With Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech about to join Colorado and Nebraska as expansion movers, the Big 12’s remaining teams are going to need a place to go.

According to OrangeBloods.com, who has been all over the expansion news, SEC commissioner Mike Slive has told Texas that if it joins the SEC he will move two teams from the SEC West to the SEC to accomodate the Longhorns.
